ps, how the hell do you spell sacagawea? sakajawea? wha...?

I read somewhere that $1 coins are really good for vision-impaired/blind people, since it's not really possible to differentiate between bills without seeing them (they are all the same shape & texture).

Other countries use different size/color bills for different denominations.

Also, $1 coins are great for things like expensive vending machines (ie. extended parking, train tickets, bus fare, etc...). Last summer, I used to carry around a whole bunch of them with me.

We need to get rid of the penny and the dollar bill. They're redundant and expensive.

i agree! this summer using coins for everything (the brits have a £2 coin, about $4 US) made my money last alot longer. I think Americans disregard their change and end up loosing lots of money collectively. Using the bigger coins made me use exact change a lot and made me a lot more careful about what i did with my change. this isnt just the anglophile in me talking; it was really practical

you mean the lost change? everwhere! well yeah it usually it ends up still within your possession but it gathers in bowls or piggy banks till it gets to the point where like, wtf am i going to do with all this change??? using it as you recieve it makes lots more sense. it killed me everytime i had to break a bill.
